Buddha's Delight

12 small Chinese dried black mushrooms 

12 stalks green vegetables heart (can substitute spinach or broccoli)

15 oz can button mushrooms or straw mushrooms

1 lb 3 oz can asparagus

Group A: 1 tbs soy sauce, 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/2 tbs vegetable oil

Group B: 2 cup vegetable stock, 3.4 tsp salt

Group C: 1 cup vegetable stock, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tbs cornstarch

Soak the black mushrooms in warm water until soft; cut away stems

and discard. Mix the caps with A. Steam over high heat for 10

minutes. Set aside.

into 4- to 5-inch lengths. Blanch for 2 minutes. Refresh in cold

water immediately, then drain.

B until boiling. Cook green vegetable, asparagus and button mushrooms

for 1 minutes. After cooking, arrange them on a serving platter.

4.Heat C until boiling. Pour over the vegetable and serve.
