Buddha's Delight
12 small Chinese dried black mushrooms12 stalks green vegetables heart (can substitute spinach or broccoli)
15 oz can button mushrooms or straw mushrooms
1 lb 3 oz can asparagus
Group A: 1 tbs soy sauce, 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/2 tbs vegetable oil
Group B: 2 cup vegetable stock, 3.4 tsp salt
Group C: 1 cup vegetable stock, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tbs cornstarch
Soak the black mushrooms in warm water until soft; cut away stems
and discard. Mix the caps with A. Steam over high heat for 10
minutes. Set aside.
the outer leaves from the green vegetable. Cut the tender leaves
into 4- to 5-inch lengths. Blanch for 2 minutes. Refresh in cold
water immediately, then drain.
B until boiling. Cook green vegetable, asparagus and button mushrooms
for 1 minutes. After cooking, arrange them on a serving platter.
4.Heat C until boiling. Pour over the vegetable and serve.
