AUNTA'S PANCAKES

2 cups flour

1 cup yellow corn meal

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon soda

2 teaspoons salt

1/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/4 to 1/2 cup melted butter

3 cups buttermilk or sour milk

Sift dry ingredients together. Beat eggs slightly and add the melted

butter and the milk. Beat well. Combine the liquid and dry ingredients,

stirring only until all ingredients are moistened. Drop on a hot,

ungreased griddle, making cakes 3 to 4 inches in diameter. Yield:

24 pancakes.
