French Toast 12

French Toast

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1 tb sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon, if desired

1/2 cup milk

2 tb butter

4-6 slices bread or 6-8 slices French bread (cut diagonally about 1-in thick)

Heat griddle to medium heat (about 340 degrees). In shallow bowl,

combine all ingredients except butter and bread; mix well. Melt

butter on the griddle. Dip the bread into the egg mixture, coating

both sides. Cook on griddle over medium heat about 4 min on each

side, or until golden brown. If desired, sprinkle with powdered

sugar
