Buttercream Icing
1/2 cup shortening1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 tsp. clear vanilla
5 cup confectioners sugar
2-3 Tblsp milk
Cream butter and shortening then add vanilla. Add sugar a cup at
a time beating on medium speed. Add milk 1 Tblsp at a time and beat
on high until fluffy.
HINT: To cut the sweetness I usually add about 1/4 tsp. of salt
dissolved in the vanilla.
Makes 3 1/2 cup.
