Quick Icing

4 c. powdered sugar

3-4 T. liquid (water, milk, coffee, lemon juice, or orange juice)

In a medium bowl, stir together until smooth. Adjust the consistency

as necessary with more sugar or liquid. It may be piped onto baked

goods if a thick batch is made.

Color as desired. Store in an airtight container. Keeps in the

refrigerator as long as 1 month, or 4 days at room temperature.

NOTE: I especially like vanilla or almond flavoring mixed with

milk for the liquid ingredient in this glaze.

This glaze is ideal for icing fresh sweet rolls, pound cakes,

cookies, gingerbread, etc.
