Chocolate Coconut Candy Squares
Australian measure.150g sweetened condensed milk
5ml vanilla
350g icing sugar
350g dessicated coconut
650g semisweet chocolate, melted in a double boiler
Mix together vanilla and milk. Gradually add sugar and beat until
well incorporated and creamy. Sprinkle in coconut and blend well.
Mixture will be stiff. Scrape into a 23cm x 33cm tin, pressing
firmly. Chill several hours.
When firm, cut into 3cm x 7cm pieces. Skewer each piece with a fork
and dip in melted chocolate. Let excess drip off before setting on
gladbake to dry.
