Appalachian Mountain Cobbler

   1      cup           flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup butter or margarine

4 cups fresh or canned fruit or berries -- drained

1 cup fruit juice

Mix until smooth the dry ingredients with the milk and vanilla. Melt butter

in 8 x 10" baking pan. Pour batter over melted butter. Place over batter the

fruit. Pour over the top, 1 cup fruit juice. Bake in preheated 350 degree

oven for 30-35 mins. until light brown.
