Almond Brickle Blond Brownies

1 c. sugar

1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened

1 tsp. vanilla

2 eggs

1 3/4 c. flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 c. chopped almonds

3/4 c. almond brickle baking chips

1/4 c. chopped almonds

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9" pan. In large bowl, combine

sugar, brown sugar and margarine; blend well. Add flour, baking

powder and salt; mix well. Stir in 1/2 c. almonds. Spread in pan.

Bake 20-30 min. or until golden brown and set. Remove from oven;

sprinkle evenly with topping ingredients. Return to oven; bake an

additional 2 min. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Cut into

bars. Yield: 36 brownies
