Cream Cheese Brownies

This should work a little better:

Cream Cheese Brownies

Cheese layer:

Cream together

4 oz cream cheese

1 egg

1/2 cup sugar

2 tbsp flour

OPTIONAL: 1/2 cup drained cut maraschino cherries

Combine, beat til smooth.

Brownie Layer:

Mix together

2 eggs (beaten)

1 cup sugar

3/4 cup flour

1/8 tsp salt

1/4 cocoa

1/2 cup butter

1/2 walnuts

Melt and stir coca, butter. Add remaining brownie ingredients.

Put 2/3 brownie mixture in a greased 8X8 inch

cover with cheese layer

top with remaining brownie layer

Bake til toothpick comes out clean.

Icing:

1 1/3 cup icing sugar

1/3 cup cocoa

3 tbsp margarine

5 tsp hot water

Cream together. Ice brownies when cooled.
