Apple Crisp
Here's my Mom's recipe for Apple Crisp that I've been enjoying foryears and years:
Apple Crisp

4-5 largish green or cooking apples (Granny Smith's or Macintosh)
1 cup sugar
3/4 flour
1 stick butter (8 TBS) NOT melted
1 TBS water
1 TBS lemon juice
cinnamon
ground cloves
Grease casserole dish. Peel and slice apples and put in dish
(fill to below rim of dish). Combine sugar, flour, butter and crumble
together with fork. On top of apples sprinkle cinnamon, cloves, water
and lemon juice. Cover with topping. Bake 30 minutes at 375F.
