Cheese Ball
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese6 oz cream cheese
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 tablespoons milk or white wine
1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions
1 tablespoon diced pimento (red pepper)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
dash hot pepper sauce
1/3 to 1/2 cup chopped parsley or finely chopped walnuts or pecans
pimento strips (optional)
assorted crackers
Bring cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and margarine to room temperature.
Add milk, onion, pimento, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce.
Beat till combined. Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours.
To serve, shape mixture into a ball. Roll in parsley or nuts.
Let stand 15 minutes. Garnish with pimento strips, if desired.
Serve with crackers. Makes about 3 1/2 cups (12 servings)
