Collection (2) Bisquick Substitute

Homemade Bisquick 

Yield: 4 Quarts

12 cup sifted flour

6 tb baking powder

6 ts salt

3 cup shortening

Sift dry ingredients together 3 times; cut in the shortening; stir

and mix until you have a granular texture, like cornmeal; put

mixture in glass jars and cover lightly; makes about 4 quarts.

Homemade Bisquick

1 cup unbleached flour

2/3 cup powdered milk

1 tb baking powder

1 1/2 ts cream of tartar

2 tb sugar

1 ts salt

1 cup shortening

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in the shortening until

the mixture resembles course cornmeal. Store in an air-tight

container.
