Rolled Dumplings
3 cups flour3/4 cup shortening
1 cup water
1 egg
Dash of salt
Mix all ingredients together. Roll out dough on a floured board.
Cut into squares with pizza cutter or sharp knife. Gently drop into
boiling chicken or beef broth. Simmer dumplings on low heat for
about 10 minutes.
