DEVILED FISH
source: Ways to Prepare Stews and Casseroles1 lb (500g) fish fillets
2 cloves garlic
1 onion, chopped
1 cup milk (250 ml)
1/4 lb cottage cheese
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 teaspoon sugar
salt to taste
1/8 teaspoon black pepper or hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
Place the fish and garlic in the top of a double boiler and cover with
boiling water. Cover and cook over boiling water until fish is tender (about
20-25 minutes) drain the fish and remove garlic or chop fine and reserve.
Flake the fish. Combine the onion, milk, cottage cheese ,curry powder and
garlic if desired. Add to fish. Season to taste with salt and add paprika and
mix well. Place in a buttered casserole dish. Bake in a 425 deg F (220 deg C
oven for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve immediately.
