Baked Pears

2 pears, halved and cored

1 cup Merlot or other red wine

1 teas cinnamon

2 whole cloves

1/4 c sugar

Microwave on High the wine, cinnomon, cloves, and sugar for 1 1/2

minutes. Place pears in baking dish. Pour heated liquid over

pears. Cover tightly and microwave on High for 12 minutes.

The pears can sit until ready to serve. They stay warm for over

1 hour. Serve with cinnamon ice cream.

Serves 4
