TASTY 'FURTERS (700 watts)

8 frankfurters

8 bread rolls (wholemeal or white)

SWEETCORN CHILLI SAUCE

15g butter

1 small onion, chopper

1/2 small red capsicum, seeded and chopped

2 Tbsp brown sugar

2 Tbsp white wine vinegar

a good pinch ground ginger

1 tsp chilli seasoning or sauce

200 ml can whole kernel sweetcorn, drained (save a little liquid)

2 tsp cornflour

Place the butter in a reasonably large microwave dish, cover and

cook on HIGH about 1 minute to melt. Add onion and red pepper,

cover and cook on HIGH 3 - 4 minutes or until tender, stirring once

or twice. Stir in all the remaining sauce ingredients, except

cornflour and cover. Cook on MEDIUM for 3 - 4 minutes; stir once.

Blend cornflour with a little water till smooth and stir into sauce.

Cook on MEDIUM FOR 1 - 2 minutes or until hot and slightly thickened.

Stand for 2 minutes. Arrange the sausages in a dish with a little

of the drained corn liquid. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 minutes

or until hot. Split the rolls, place a sausage in each and top

with the corn sauce.
